Global Quorum Consensus Probes

Multi-region API monitoring with quorum consensus

Eliminate false alarms from transient local ISP blips. Verify outages simultaneously across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific before triggering on-call alerts.

2-of-3 voting consensus across US-East, EU-Central, and AP-South.

How It Works

Quorum Voting vs. Single-Probe Monitoring

See how quorum consensus prevents the 3 AM false alarm problem that plagues legacy monitors.

Scenario A: Transient Local Peering BlipFiltered Out
US-East (N. Virginia) Timeout (ISP drop)
EU-Central (Frankfurt) 200 OK • 32ms
AP-South (Mumbai) 200 OK • 21ms
Quorum Vote: 1 of 3 FailedNO INCIDENT TRIGGERED

Legacy monitors would have paged your team. Uptara verified that the API was accessible globally and suppressed the noise.

Scenario B: Genuine Production OutageQuorum Confirmed
US-East (N. Virginia) HTTP 500
EU-Central (Frankfurt) HTTP 500
AP-South (Mumbai) HTTP 500
Quorum Vote: 3 of 3 FailedHIGH-PRIORITY ESCALATION

Unanimous quorum confirmation triggers immediate sub-second alerts to WhatsApp, Slack, PagerDuty, and webhooks.

Engineering Architecture

Enterprise Reliability Infrastructure

Engineered from the ground up for high-scale microservices and demanding engineering teams.

Zero False Alarms

Quorum Voting Consensus (2-of-3 Nodes)

An incident is declared only when a majority of probe regions independently verify the failure. A transient local peering glitch in one region will never trigger an emergency page.

Anti-Flapping

Anti-Flap Confirmation Engine

Pair quorum consensus with configurable consecutive failure thresholds (e.g. require 2 or 3 failed probes). Temporary container restarts are absorbed with live dashboard confirmation states.

Global Latency

Regional Latency Breakdown

Compare response latencies across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific on every check. Detect localized CDN routing delays or edge degradations immediately.

Virtual Threads

Java 21 Virtual Threads Engine

High-throughput concurrency engine dispatches simultaneous multi-region probes in parallel without blocking, delivering immediate consensus results in sub-second time.

Sub-Second

Sub-Second Multi-Channel Alerts

Once quorum confirms downtime, rich diagnostic alerts with regional response breakdown are delivered to WhatsApp, Slack, PagerDuty, Discord, and HMAC webhooks.

Managed Cloud

Zero Overhead & Native Cloud Probes

No agent installations or infrastructure maintenance required on your end. Uptara manages distributed probe nodes across dedicated global cloud zones.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about API uptime, SLA calculations, and monitoring with Uptara.

Quorum consensus is a distributed agreement protocol. When one probe node detects a potential outage, it triggers concurrent verification across other global regions (e.g. US-East, EU-Central, and AP-South). An incident is only declared if a majority (at least 2 out of 3) agree that the endpoint is down, eliminating false alarms caused by localized transit blips.
